VNDL:  Describe your work/process.
LF:  I work only with film, I have always thought that digital was not for me. It’s too quick and even if during a shot I work quickly I hate the feeling I have with digital. I do not plan a lot for a shoot. Just the model and some clothes ,objects. Sometimes I choose a place even if at first sight I don’t like it, my thought is « this place can be interesting even if you don’t see how for the moment ».
I try to adapt myself to every places. It’s like a challenge. And often it works and I learn new things.
In every of my project fashion/personal, I try to show something raw and weird sometimes, an other kind of regard on beauty, that’s what interest me. I love people’s attitude, what they don’t want to show, what they try to hide. Beauty is in what we hide. Not on our face.

What have you been up to recently? (trips, projects, work?)
Recently I’ve been working on a fashion project for a magazine called People Are Strange and an other project for a new culturel magazine who’s under construction and does not still exist for the moment. And I try to work on a new zine for the end of the year.

Advice to other creative’s/aspiring artists
Continue to dig, and experiment. When I was in art school  it was the favorite word of my professors. “Experimentation”. But they were right, experimentation, trying new things are the only way to find who you are,  how your work is constructed and why.

What are you currently listening to/reading/ watching?
Actually I’m listening Atom Tree, Son Lux, Sweatshirt, Hearts Revolution, Petite Meller, BLVCK CEILING, PVNDV. Music determines my day, I like to lose myself on soundcloud or youtube trying to find “the sound” I will love and listen again and again. The last book I’ve read was “life as art as attitude” by Stephane Deplan, a French artist. All is in the title. I read a lot of magazines too, Purple Fashion, I love fake, The Journal, Toilet Paper but also the internet, tumblr, instagram.
Watching a lot of film but the last in my head is “mysterious skin” and I still didn’t see the end!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I try to don’t think about it, that makes me scared and creates some real fears. I hope that I’ll be in some beautiful places,  keep doing photography or any art and create fascinating projects with a lot of people.

Who is or where does your inspiration come from? Any emerging artists to watch out for?
Inspiration comes from nature, fashion, music, colors, places, light, feelings, friends, discussion, fears, dreams…
