VNDL: Describe your work/process. EM: My work is about the youth, exploration, travel, life, and all the good things in between. I don’t think I have a specific process as to how I go about taking pictures. I just photograph what I see beautiful, it also helps that I always carry around some sort of camera with me where ever I go, whether it is a film camera or a digital camera. What have you been up to recently? (Trips, projects, work?) Recently I have been working quite a bit as a photographer assistant and a studio assistant. Currently I am on a road trip with some friends, around New England. From this road trip my friends and I plan to make a short zeen with photos and writing about our experience on this road trip. I have also been working on my first book, which I plan for it to be done by around September/November of this year. Favorite Quote: “And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” -Abraham Lincoln Advice to other creative’s/aspiring artists. I like to think that sharing your experiences with your friends and having them be part of your art is wonderful. Spending more time with friends and learning from each other is a great way to improve your art and create some originality. What are you currently listening to/reading/ watching? I recently picked up Hell’s Angels by Hunter S. Thompson. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In five year, let see ill be 29 by then I hope to have traveled to Europe, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. Who is or where does your inspiration come from? Any emerging artists to watch out for? My Inspiration comes from everyone. I honestly sit on my computer looking at photos in tumblr and flickr and I pull inspirations from them. We all can always learn from each other and use each other’s work as motivation to keep pushing and always developing your art. As for emerging artist, Rebekah Campbell is actually one to look out for. She has a unique style going on with a mixture of fashion and life style which is great.
