Ian Durkin vndl May 28, 2013 Photography VNDL: Describe your work/process: ID: My work and process is generally pretty simple. I like to go on trips and have fun with my friends and when I’m doing so, I sometimes document it with either photos or video. It’s something I’ve always done. What have you been up to recently? (trips, projects, work?) Nothing all too exciting. I’ve been in New York for the most part this year. But I work for the website, Vimeo, which is a great day job and living in the city is pretty amazing. Favorite Quote “sometimes you just got to make a pb&j without bread” – my grandmother Advice to other creative’s/aspiring artists I don’t know. Have fun? What are you currently listening to/reading/ watching? I’m reading The Road by Jack London these days. It’s great. Currently listening to Townes Van Zandt and I don’t watch too much television. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Hard saying not knowing. Hopefully doing something nice. Who is or where does your inspiration come from? Any emerging artists to watch out for? My inspiration comes from everything and everyone doing things that excite me to do activities on my own. Like listening to the “The Star Spangled Banner”, seeing friends live in their cars, looking at art and photography that makes me smile, admiring tall ollies, watching nice videos, reading zines and listening to simple tunes.
