Andres Orozco vndl February 12, 2013 Interview, Photography VNDL: Describe your work/process AO: I agree with other photographers, it’s a strange feeling to describe your own work. Sometimes it’s better to let your work speak for itself but I would say more documentary, street photography, and conceptual work. What have you been up to recently? (trips, projects, work?) I had the opportunity to travel across the country last year, which was when I took the pictures for one of my last projects (Endless Summer). I’m trying to schedule my projects for this year. I want to do more night urban landscapes and conceptual work. Favorite Quote When you die, you don’t take anything with you. Advice to other creative’s/aspiring artists Not everything is on the internet, see other artists’ work by buying books, also because it’s nice having a book collection at home. What are you currently listening to/reading/ watching? I enjoy reading The New Yorker, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Samsara the movie, Futbol watching my favorite team win (Millonarios) Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Traveling and working on personal projects that I can develop on my own. Having a family. Who is or where does your inspiration come from? Any emerging artists to watch out for? There are too many awesome photographers who I could mention, in terms of new artists I enjoy Kevin Cooley’s work, he’s both a photographer and videographer.
