Interview – Lukasz Wierzbowski Gavin Thomas January 27, 2013 Interview, Photography 1 Comment VNDL: Describe your work/process. It’s quite simple. I just get in touch with a model, we pick the location and start shooting. I love working on the spot as I don’t really enjoy making precise plans in advance. Surroundings have always been a huge source of inspiration for me. What have you been up to recently (trips, projects, work)? The beginning of the year seems quite intensive. I’m in the process of putting together two books and working on a few collaborations. I’ll be working on commissioned projects in Hamburg and later on London. Favorite Quote? “Less is more.” Advice to other creatives/aspiring artists? Try to find your own style and never be afraid to experiment. What are you currently listening to/reading/watching? Watching: Holy Motors. Listening: Father John Misty “Fear fun.” Reading: Woody Allen “Getting even.” Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I can’t even imagine what might happen in 5 years but I’ll be ok with everything, as long as it will make happy both me, and the ones I love. Who is or where does your inspiration come from? Any emerging artists to watch out for? I find people and places to be the most inspirational. Everyday life filled with little happenings is always worth watching. You should definitely watch out for Ren Hang! Lukasz Wierzbowski is a photographer based out of Wroclaw, Poland.
